Sarah M. Barrios graduated from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in 2010. At the time of her graduation, she held the record for the most pro-bono hours ever recorded by a law student and was awarded the W.P. Carey / Armstrong Prize for Achievement in Public Service. During law school Sarah was often successful in oral argument competitions, including the Jenckes Closing Argument Competition, which she won in 2007.

Sarah began her career as a family law attorney at the firm of Mariscal, Weeks, McIntyre, & Friedlander (later, Dickinson Wright), where she handled a variety of cases including paternity, dissolution, relocation, school choice, Title IV-D, child support, and custody. As a family law attorney, Sarah is devoted to her clients and works each case diligently to resolution. She has successfully taken cases to trial and settled cases using mediation. In 2014, Sarah was ranked one of the top ten attorneys under the age of forty, by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys. She was also named a Southwest Super Lawyers Rising Star for each of the years for 2014 through 2017.

Sarah is a member of the Los Abogados and Young Lawyers Divisions of the Maricopa County Bar Association and a member of the Family Law and Trial Litigation sections of the State Bar of Arizona.
