Steve was born and raised in rural Michigan. While living in Michigan he attended Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana for a year. Later he moved to Arizona, and ultimately graduated (top 1% of class) from Arizona State University with a BS in Global Business and Marketing in 2000. Steve continued his education, graduating (top 15% of class) from Arizona State University with an MBA in 2005. Steve then completed mediation training with the Arizona Attorney General's Office and worked as a mediator. Finally, Steve accepted a scholarship and graduated from Arizona Summit Law in 27 months (finishing in the top third of his class). He is member of the Arizona State Bar Association and licensed to practice law in:

Arizona Supreme Court, including courts of limited jurisdiction

United States District Court, for the District of Arizona

In his spare time Steve play a lot of golf, and spends time with two grown children, and his grandchildren. Additionally, Steve is the author of nearly 100 copyrighted works, including, plays, lyrics, and poems.

Something that most people wouldn't know about Steve is that he has traced his paternal family tree back to England in 1600's, and that he has a family crest and coat-of-arms issued by the Crown, and he owns two kilts and occasionally wears them proudly.
